American Sign Musuem --
Imagine a warehouse lighting entirely by neon. What would it be? The answer is the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati. This one of a kind museum is exactly what the name says, a museum for American signs. The collection consists of signage varying in age from the 1870s to the 1970s. There are signs that would have been seen along the classic route 66. Lighting the way for travelers encouraging them to stop in and buy the many wonderful goods they had for sale. Today the signs adore walls, ceilings, and even some signs get piece of floor to sit on in this classic museum. Its great for all friends and family alike. Kids love it because the signs are bright and colorful. (just don’t let them touch because if you break it you buy it) adults like it because the signs remind them of a time before. In some cases a time that is no longer around and a time that uses to be special. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12-4 and admission is just $15 bucks for adults, 10 for seniors, students, military, and large groups. I highly recommend the Sign Musuem to anyone who logs neon and wants to see how the city looked between 1870s and 1970s.
