Blank Park Zoo
The Blank Park Zoo was my favorite part of my trip to Iowa. It was just an amazing experience. The zoo was well kept and the animals couldn’t look happier. The viewing areas were really spectacular. Most Zoo’s have a small window that you view an animal from but here you could see almost the entire field or area. There was places for the animals to hide of course but you could still see where they were and have a chance to view there. I have been to over zoo’s and it looks like half the habitates are empty because the animals are all hiding. The zoo is open year round with rates depending on if its summer of winter. Winter rates are cheap at just $7 bucks for adults. Summer rates are more expensive at $11 for adults, $6 for kids, and $9 for seniors 65+. Blank Park Zoo is the only accreditated zoo in all of Iowa making it home to more then 1000 of the most beautiful animals on the planet. Enjoy seeing Lions, Giraffes, Tigers, and even the little tiny cute red panda’s.

Need something to do with your family or friends while in Iowa? Well look no further Des Moines is home to Adventureland Iowa’s leading amusement park. There are so many rides it hard to count without taking off your shoes and socks. Don’t worry about taking those shoes off I’ve already counted for you and I came up with 42 different attractions for you and your family to enjoy. They range from kiddie rides like flying dinos, to large roller coasters and water rides. This is the place for you I guarantee it. There I something for everyone and you are bound to enjoy yourself. That is of course assuming you aren’t one of the people against amazing thrill rides and relaxing on a lazy river. Adventureland is best enjoy in a bathing suit so you can enjoy the waterpark. The water park is a great success during the summer. Its not like your standard slide park but has some cool water meet machnical arm rides as well. Splash Over is a one of a kind human washing machine. Enjoy a spinning thrill ride that will soak you to the core. The non water park rides are equally as fun enjoy the class sidewinder and Tornado, the parks first wooden coaster that was built nearly 30 years ago and is still running strong.
