Louisville Slugger Museum
Louisville Kentucky is home to many great things. One of the most intriguing places I visited while in Louisville was the Slugger Museum. This isn’t your typical museum but is a baseball museum that focuses on the Louisville Slugger bat. This impressive wooden bat has been the go to choice for baseball’s hall of famers. The slugger was used by greats like Babe Ruth, Ken Griffey Jr, and Derek Jeters. The museum has many great pieces of history and memorabilia of the sport one such piece of history is the slugger that Joe DiMaggio used to set his 56-game hitting streak record. This museum didn’t’ open its doors just because it had some history but it opened its doors because it is also the factory where the Louisville Slugger is built. That’s rights this is a museum and a factory in one. The tour is my favorite part of the museum, it is cool the see all the old bats and gloves but to see how a bat is made and the love that goes into making each one is amazing. Admission to the museum is just $11 bucks for adults, $10 for seniors, and $6 for kids 6-12. It is really a great establishment and a place I would recommend to any baseball lover.
