Battleship Wisconsin
One of my favorite things about traveling is getting the chance to visit retired naval vessels and museums. There are many across the US that visitors can enter and explore. Guests can see firsthand how the sailors lived during their time on the vessel. The self-guided tours are always fun and really show you a lot of the ship. While in Norfolk Virginia I was able to visit Battleship Wisconsin a mighty battleship that was the last of its kind. If you like the ship but want to see more don’t worry there is a way to go behind the scenes and see more with a guided tour. Tours set off at 11 and 2 each day and cost is a little more than I expected at first it 30 bucks for an adults and 24 for a child. This includes admission to the ship for the self-guided areas and a 4 deck tour with a knowledgably guide. There is a second tour a little cheaper open to the public and a little bit easier on your feet is the Main Street U.S.N. This is a creative tour which focuses on how life was for the sailors, its 60 minutes and takes you through the laundry room, tailor shop, library, bakery, donut shop, and much more.
