    Carnegie Science Center
Science Center While in Pittsburgh you are bound to head the name Carnegie, all you need to know is Carnegie means museum. There are four Carnegie museum in Pittsburgh and the Carnegie Science Center is my favorite. Mostly because my kids loved it and when the kids are happy everyone is happy. Visiting the museum is easy and the only thing you need to decide on is if you want to see an OMNIMAX show or not. The OMNIIMAX is a unique IMAX dome. The theater is 4 story state of the art IMAX, there is only about 50 in the united states. Seeing a movie here is cheaper than you might think. A regular IMAX movie runs about 13 to 15 bucks but a movie here is just $8 and when its bundled with admission to the science center its only 5 bucks. General Admission to the museum is $18 for adults or $12 for kids under 12. This isn’t your normal science museum as well its great for all ages both kids and adults. Even as a father I still found it really interesting and quite fun. The material and exhibits are really top notch and worth the money. One of my favorite parts was the USS Requin. This retired navy Submarine is now used as a way to teach the public how hard life on a submarine really is. You can jump onboard and walk the submarine to see how 80 men lived and worked.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History Scandia
The Carnegie Museums are some of the most popular museums in the states so after my family enjoyed the Carnegie Science Center so much we decided to find out what else the Carnegie name had to offer. That led us to the Museum of Natural History. Admission to the Museum of Natural History was priced the same as the Science Center. Adult admission was $18 while kids was $12. After enjoying ourselves so much at the Science Center we knew every penny was going to be well worth it. There are some really great exhibits at the Museum of Natural History, one of my favorites is Popular Impact. This exhibit takes an up close and personal look at how humans are effecting the ecosystems on your planet. There was a lot of information here and really shows the impact we have on our planet. The history exhibits were also very awesome; two notable exhibits were Dinosaurs in Their Time and Ice Age Animals. These two separate time perhaps had massive animals that roams our earth and most of those massive beasts are no longer with us today. The museum has bones of these amazing creates and its really awesome to see the sheer size of these creates up close.
