visiting Miami, Florida, be sure to get out
there and see the many great things that the city has to
offer. Here are a few recommendations:
- South Beach
If you are in
the Miami area, then you have to make South Beach part
of your vacation. This is a major hotspot in the South
Florida area, where you can dine, shop or just hang out
in the fabulous Florida sun. Lincoln Road is the main
thoroughfare that runs through South Beach and that is
where most of the clubs, restaurants and shops are
located. Your visit will be a unique experience because
you never know what is in store.
- Miami Metro Zoo
The Miami Metro Zoo is one of the premiere
zoos in the United States. There are two main reasons
why the Metro Zoo gained this status. One, the South
Florida climate in ideal for unique and various animals
from places all over the world, like Australia, Africa
and Asia. The second reason is because the zoo is a
free-range zoo, which means that the animals are free to
roam around the places that are built to mimic their
home. You'll have a great time when you visit the Miami
Metro Zoo.
- Miami Seaquarium
With so many things to do in Miami, it can be
hard to determine what to do first. Well, one of the
first things that you should do is spend the day at the
Miami Seaquarium. As with the Metro Zoo, the Seaquarium
is an ideal climatic environment that allows for an
outstanding, outdoor aquarium experience. The Seaquarium
is in the middle of everything, so it is simple to find.
From sea turtles to dolphins, and from sharks to sea
lions, you'll find it here at the Miami Seaquarium.
- The Everglades
If you are visiting the Miami area, one place
that is a must see is the unique ecosystem that is the
Florida Everglades. The Everglades is a U.S. National
Park and is home to over 13 indigenous and endangered
wildlife, such as the Florida Panther and the American
Crocodile. There are many different ways to see the
Everglades. One of the most popular ways is to skim
across the top of the water in an airboat, but you can
also canoe and hike. This is a once in a lifetime
experience, so don't miss out on it the next time you
are in Miami.
- Miami SkyLift
The Miami SkyLift is a newly added attraction
in the Miami area. The SkyLift is a helium balloon
that lifts you about 500 in the air to have a bird's
eye view of Miami Beach and the metro area. This one
of a kind ride will give you an interesting
perspective of the greater Miami area. The 15 minute
ride includes a descriptive narrative that is quite
informative.
