Dacotah Prairie
Museum
Dedicated to telling the story of this
land and of the people who have lived on it, this museum contains a
large section of historical items including Indian artifacts,
centennial quilts, period settings, toys for all ages and much more.

Sand Lake National
Wildlife Refuge
Between deep blue potholes of
water and scattered pieces of wild prairie lies one of South Dakota's
truest treasures, Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Nestled in the
northeast corner of the state, the refuge is a haven for wildlife and
those who enjoy it. Birdwatchers, anglers, photographers, hunters, and
nature lovers all find refuge at Sand Lake. Home to more than 266
species of birds, 40 mammal species, and a variety of fish, reptiles,
and amphibians the Refuge is a mosaic of wildlife and the wild places
they need.

7th Annual Oz Festival
This Festival was designed to
explore the historical and literary links between L. Frank Baum and
the Aberdeen area. By centering a Festival around his Oz Books, his
activities while living in Aberdeen, and other stories he published,
we offer an exciting assortment of colorful Oz events along with
fascinating historical presentations and demonstrations.
Northern State University
The state-of-the-art Joseph
H. Barnett Center, located on the
Northern State
University campus, plays host to a complete spectrum of team
competitions - NCAA Division II (Wolves) men's and women's basketball;
State AA, A, and B high school basketball tournaments; swim meets;
gymnastics and indoor track meets; wrestling and volleyball
tournaments.
Moccasin Creek Complex
A multiplex outdoor facility
featuring soccer and softball fields, provides over 30 acres of
recreational space. The Complex includes a bike/walking trail along
Moccasin Creek, concessions, restroom facilities, batting cages, and
plays host to several soccer and softball tournaments every summer.
