trails for hiking and biking follow the creeks and hills of thie
696-acre park. A 26-acre lake for swimming, fishing and boating as well
as tennis courts, playground, a beautiful waterfall, picnic areas and
group camp area.

A 39,000 square-foot art museum that features eight exhibition
galleries, formally designed sculpture gardens, auditorium, cafe, and
gife shop. The travertine clad building houses Auburn University's
historically significant art collections. The museum hosts traveling

On the morning of 27 March 1814, General Andrew Jackson and an army of
3,300 men consisting of Tennessee militia, United States regulars and
both Cherokee and Lower Creek allies attacked Chief Menawa and 1,000
Upper Creek or Red Stick warriors fortified in the "horseshoe" bend of
the Tallapoosa River.

The museum is dedicated to honor Auburn's athletic past. Documenting all
of the intercollegiate sports played by Auburn men and women down
through the years, the museum shows people how athletic programs have
contributed to Auburn's historical traditions.

Forest Ecology Preserve
This 110-acre educational facility offers
11 focal areas for observation and study. The Canopy amphitheater which
seats 300 is next to the restrooms and handicap trail. Focal areas
include the Wetlands, Butterfly garden, GPS trail, fern trail, reptile
trail and wildlife trail. Also used as an orienteering course.

This 1845 Trade Center (stucco and plaster building) houses vintage
clothing, quilts, old toys and furniture. There is a furnished log
cabin, blacksmith shop, Indian teepee and farm tool display. Large
