discover Australia's past.

The National Museum of Australia, is Australia's newest museum, is an

Questacon- the National Science and Technology Centre has over 200

Parliament House

Ginninderra Village
Ginninderra Village was built in 1883 with the schoolhouse being the
original school for the area of Canberra. The buildings present the
visitor with some knowledge of life in the early days.
National Gallery of Australia
The National Gallery of Australia has a collection of over 100,000
pieces which contains Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, as well
as Australian, Asian and international works.
Australian National Botanic Garden
The Australian National Botanic Garden maintains a wide collection of
native plants for enjoyment and research, as well as conservation.
Telstra Tower
At Telstra Tower you can explore Australia's history of
telecommunications, and enjoy the view of the city from this 195-meter
landmark.
Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve
At Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve you can observe Australia's wildlife by
walking through the nature trails and observing numerous animals
interact in their environments.
Floriade
Floriade is a beautiful festival of flowers. They also have great

High Court of Australia
The High
Court, is home to the highest court in Australia's judicial system
and contains three courtrooms, a video display, and a huge
seven-story-high public hall. When the court is in session, visitors can
observe the proceedings from the public gallery.
Australian Institute of Sport
The Australian Institute of Sport is known for its world-class
facilities and equipment, and is a leader in sports science and
research.
Lanyon Homestead
Built in stages through the 1800s, Lanyon Homestead comprises
different buildings built through convict labor and later with the work
of builders in the colonial era.
Australian National University
The
Australian national University campus is the learning and education of
the capital city. Located just a couple of minutes from the city centre,
Sullivan's Creek flows through the middle of this educational facility.

Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex
There are many models, audiovisual recordings, and
displays, including a space suit, space food, and archive film footage
of the Apollo moon landings, at the Canberra Deep Space Communication
Complex. It is a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family.
Lake Burley Griffin
At Lake Burley Griffin visitors can focus on such leisure sports as
fishing, swimming, cycling, walking, jogging and rowing.
Canberra Space Dome and Observatory
Located only minutes from the heart of the city, you can see the night
sky as you have never seen it before. Seven thousand amazing stars can
be seen in the Space Dome, rain or shine, night or day.
Namadgi National Park
Part of the park borders the mountainous Kosciuszko National Park in
the Snowy Mountains. There are seven peaks over 5248ft in the park.
Booroomba Rocks is one of the most popular spots in the park, with some
great climbing over its huge granite boulders. Sometimes there's enough
snow in Namadgi for cross-country skiing.
National Capital Exhibition
At the National Capital Exhibition you can view
Lake Burley Griffin, the Captain Cook Memorial Water Jet, and the
Carillon in the Bargain. The National Capital Exhibition gives wonderful
displays of these places and a film provides an overview of the city's
design.
