Art Deco District

The Art Deco district of Miami Beach only occupies a one-square mile
area between Lincoln and Sixth Street, Ocean Drive and Alton Road. Early
twentieth century art movement containing dozens of restored buildings,
all having that architecture depictive of the art deco period. Visit the
Miami Design Preservation League's Welcome Center on 1001 Ocean Drive. A
recorded cassette is available for telling an introduction to the Art
Deco Historic District. The South Beach section, where fashion designer
Gianni Versace lived and died, is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in
the world.
