The City of West Palm Beach Community Events
Division
produces outstanding events for the residents and visitors of the City
of West Palm Beach. Ongoing events produced by the City of West Palm
Beach include; Clematis by Night the award-winning free fountain side
concert series. The Green Market a seasonal produce and flower market
that promotes exchange between farmers and city residents. Sunday at the
Meyer concert series, a city-wide gathering showcasing an array of
different style live music entertainment set in the beautiful Meyer
Amphitheater.

With the Recreation Center
being situated between the only two schools on the island, it is
naturally the hub of activity after-school. The Department offers a
fully supervised fun filled afterschool program for school age children,
as well as providing special interest programs for those participants
who are looking for more in-depth instruction.

The Seaview
Tennis Center is a very popular spot for young and old alike. The
complex consists of 6 clay courts (4 lighted), 2 hard courts, and a
practice wall. The courts are available for play from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00
p.m. Some of the programs offered are a variety of adult tournaments,
junior tournaments, parent child round robin, evening doubles round
robin and a women's league.
Phipps Ocean Park
Located
at 2145 South Ocean Boulevard, has approximately 3 acres of beach for
sunning and swimming. Phipps Ocean Park is not only a beach, but offers
a great deal of other leisure opportunities to its patrons. There are
picnic tables and grills available on a first come first serve basis, a
small pavilion, a playground, and open green space for the sports fan
wanting to throw a football or Frisbee.
