Enterprise Adding Hybrid Cars To Locations

Global warming is a growing concern in today’s world and one of the greatest contributors to this phenomenon is the automobile. With so many petrol-powered vehicles in the world, the emissions that these vehicles let out on a daily basis are absolutely amazing. Scientists believe that if we can develop alternate ways to fuel our vehicles, it would do wonders to slow down, if not halt, the global warming process. One way to do this is to implement vehicles that function on a mixture of gas and electricity, known as a hybrid. Many of the major vehicle manufacturers have there own type of hybrid vehicles and many more are looking into this new way to power their vehicles at a lower cost to the environment. Well, there is one rental car company in particular that is doing their part to clean up the environment by adding 5,000 gas/electric hybrids to their all ready massive fleet, and that company is Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Starting this 2008 holiday season, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is adding nearly 5,000 hybrid vehicles to their fleet in effort to knock down high vehicle emissions. Enterprise all ready boasts the largest fleet in the rental car industry, not to mention the largest fleet of fuel-friendly vehicles in the business. The addition to this many hybrid vehicles nearly double the amount of fuel-efficient vehicles that Enterprise holds within their fleet. Enterprise believes that this will help customers save money by attaining a greater fuel economy, while helping the environment by using less fuel and cutting high emissions that we are used to seeing in regular gas powered vehicles.

Enterprise is launching their hybrid initiative in Stamford, CT. The initiative will be expanding through out the country in the up coming year, adding 80 more neighborhood and airport locations. It seems that everyone can do their part to save a little piece of the environment and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s “hybrid location” program shows that big industry can do their part as well.

A Trip To Utah

Are you planning a trip to Utah for your next vacation? If so, you really need to look at how you are going to get around town. I remember when my wife and I took a trip to Utah. We wanted the freedom to go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted. So, what do you think we did? Well, we rented a vehicle, of course. We decided that renting a vehicle would be the way to go because we would not have to worry about the public transportation schedule and we would not have to hassle with taxicabs. We got our renal and off we went on our great journey around the unique state if Utah.

Most of the cities in Utah are located right around the capital, Salt Lake City, so driving to the various attractions and landmarks proved to be quite easy. Our first stop was the Salt Lake City Temple. The Salt Lake City is one of the largest Mormon Temples in the world. The temple is a beautiful piece of architecture. However, get all the sight-seeing that you can from the outside because the inside of the temple is off limits to non-members of the church. The grounds surrounding the temple are beautiful and not off limits. In fact, it is the surrounding area that all of the tourists flock to when they come to see the temple, but maybe that is because you cannot go inside the temple... Anyhow, the Salt Lake City Temple is a great place to visit when you are in the area.

The next stop was The Gateway in Salt Lake City. The Gateway is located in the heart of the historic downtown district of Salt Lake City. The Gateway originally started as an urban development project and although it looks completed, the Gateway is still ever expanding. The strip contains many shops and restaurants, as well as residential and commercial areas. The Gateway holds some of the city's major attractions, like the impressive Clark Planetarium.
Our trip to Utah was amazing, and having a rental car to do what we wanted to do was most certainly the way to go. Whatever you decide to do while you are visiting a city, consider a rental car to help you get to where you need to go.

Atlanta Georgia

My first trip up to Atlanta, Georgia was nothing short of an adventure. My friend and I, who were in college in Tallahassee, Florida, decided to take a ride up to Atlanta for a concert that we really wanted to go to. Unfortunately, my friend had just recently gotten into a car accident and her car was in the shop being repaired, so we decided to rent a car for the day to get to the concert.

We went on RentalCarMomma.com, a site I had heard about through my mother, and we searched through the website, which worked with different rental locations like Enterprise, Budget and Avis. We looked through all the available cars on the site, we had to find one that, was not only fuel efficient, but a cheap one, being that we had little money to actually spend.

This site had great deals on small cars, which was perfect because it was just the two of us and we didn't really need a lot of space between us. We were even lucky enough to find an Enterprise location that was within walking distance from campus. When we went to pick up the car on the Friday we were heading up, after all of our classes for the day, it was so easy and quick, which was great because it was a four and a half hour ride and we had to get there in time for the concert. Thanks to RentalCarMomma.com all of our info was already in their system and the car was ready for us to pick up.

We decided to take some back roads to the venue in Georgia, and I'm so glad we did, I never realized how beautiful Georgia really was. All around us were cotton fields. Huge open fields, that from far away looked like it was covered in snow, but was really tons of cotton that went on for miles.

We also saw beautiful old homes, which we would use to make up stories about people that used to live there and now haunted them, to kill time.

When we finally arrived in Atlanta, it was like we were home in Orlando, which made us feel a lot more comfortable being in that strange city. We easily found the venue and had a great time at the concert. We even got to meet some of the guys from the bands. It was such a great, not only night, but day spent traveling and experiencing a new place.

West Palm Beach

Last summer my family decided to take a trip down to West Palm Beach, where we used to live to visit some of our old friends and go to the beach. Unfortunately our family car was in the shop being fixed, so we decided to rent a car to get us to and around the West Palm Beach area.

So we went on to RentalCarMomma.com and we looked through some of the dealers that they work with, like Enterprise, Avis and Budget. We have used RentalCarMomma.com in the past and it had been such a great experience we were happy to go to them again for this trip. We needed a big car, one that would hold all four of us comfortably and all of our bags and things for the beach.

Fortunately Avis had a great price for a large SUV. So we placed our order and when we went the morning we were planning to leave, thanks to RentalCarMomma.com all of our information was already in their system and the car was all ready, on the lot, for us to pick up and bring home so we could pack up and head down to West Palm Beach.

When we arrived in West Palm Beach we went over to one of our oldest friend's house, where we were going to be staying, and after we unpacked the car we all got in the rental and headed down to downtown West Palm Beach for the Sunfest festival.

We always loved going to this festival, ever since we were little kids. The entire park is filled with vendors with homemade jewelry, bags, clothes, there are even local artists showing and selling some of their work. I love going around looking at all the art that people have made, some of the art is so nice. Sunfest also has some local bands playing on the stage so we make our way over there too, and sit down to enjoy the music while we eat some lunch.

While we were in West Palm Beach we decided to go to the Beach for a day of fun in the sun. So again we packed in to rental, and headed to the beach. My sister and I spent most of the day swimming out in the ocean with our friends, while my mom and her friend worked in their tans and caught up on old times.

The trip to West Palm Beach was so much fun, being able to see all of our old friends, and spending the day at the beach and going to the festival was totally worth the 3 and a half hour drive. I can't wait to do it again.

Renting a Car and Heading to New York!

Any time my family and I take a trip up north to visit our family we are sure to rent a car for the drive up. It is so much simpler renting a car than having to worry about your car being in good enough condition, and large enough, for three teenage girls to each have their own space so there is minimal fighting, to make the long two day trip to New York. When we rent a car we always go to our favorite site to make the arrangements, RentalCarMomma.com.

RentalCarMomma.com is such a great site. It's like an all in one shopping location, and it is so easy to use. We go online, chose our rental location, then we search through a list of dealers in the area, including Budget, Enterprise and Avis. Then we chose from the many different pick-up locations, and because there are so many pick-up locations, we are able to find one that is close to our home, to make packing the car and leaving in good time much easier.

We are able to search through each dealer's available list of cars and choose one that has enough space for a comfortable ride, and one that gets good gas mileage. We are also able to put in when we would like to pick up the car and when we'd be returning it, and we get an instant amount of how much it'll be, to see if it is within our budget.

I don't think that out of all the times we have used RentalCarMomma.com we have ever had any problems. They work with the dealers, which makes ordering and picking up the rental cars so easy!

The last time we rented a car from RentalCarMomma.com we ended up renting a car from a Budget location in Kissimmee, Florida. When we went to pick up the car all of our information was already in their system and they have the car we ordered all ready on the lot for us to sign for and drive off in. It was such a great and easy experience. Having this website is such a stress reducer, especially when planning such a big trip with so many details.

The car we rented from Budget was in great condition and ran perfectly. We didn't have to worry about getting stuck in a foreign state because it broke down or anything. It made the two day trip up to Nanuet, New York much more bearable. There was tons of space too, so me and my sisters weren't fighting because we were in such close quarters that it was uncomfortable, which, I'm sure, made my mother very happy.

When we arrived in Nanuet, New York, where my grandmother lives, we were able to pick her up and take the rental car to a restaurant, because she doesn't drive, the rental car allowed us to take her out and go shopping at the Palisades Mall, and grab some pizza from the Nanuet Hotel Restaurant.

While we were in New York we took a trip to the city. It was so much fun, we took the train into the city, because it was too crazy to drive, and we got to walk around the city all day! We saw the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building, we got to go shopping around Time Square, and we even went to visit Ground Zero.

All in all the trip was a great success, thanks to the rental car the drive up and back down was a success, we got to see some our family that we don't get to see that often because we live down south and we got to visit New York City for the day which was so much fun!

A Trip to Tallahassee, Florida

I can remember my first trip up to Tallahassee, Florida. I was a senior in High School and my mom and my two sisters and I were in our rental car, which for a four and a half hour ride from our home in Saint Cloud, Florida to Tallahassee was much more comfortable due to the extra space it offered compared to our small five passenger Chevy Cavalier. We were on our way to our state's capitol to visit Florida State University, which I was considering attending in the Fall.

Renting the car from RentalCarMomma.com was a great experience. We were able to visit the site and choose a car that was not only big enough for our long trip, but also one that was fuel efficient, to save some gas money. We began by selecting the location in the United States we were renting from, and from there we chose our starting city. This site had a great list of available businesses that we could rent from including Enterprise and Budget. And from there we were able to find GREAT deals on rental cars, we couldn't believe what great deals we were going to be getting. There were SO many cars to choose from; small ones, big ones, SUVs, even some luxury cars. The site even gave us a list of things the car had, like power windows, AC, and keyless entry. They even gave us the mpg of the cars, which made our choices much easier.

Not only did we get an amazing deal on the rental car, but the location where the car was to be picked up at was so convenient and close to our home. When we went to pick up the car to begin our trip, it was so easy! All of our information was already in their system, and our rental car was all ready for us to pick up and drive off in. RentalCarMomma.com was such a great site, and made planning and executing our trip go so much smoother!

We began our trip heading north on the turnpike, a ride that was extremely long and what seemed to be never ending. But when we finally merged onto I-75, I was instantly taken aback. Who knew that behind all the big city buildings covering Florida, there was this beauty. All around us there was beautiful green pastures and huge trees with green, yellow and orange leaves. It was such a nice site to see, and in a way it calmed me.

I knew we were at the half way mark when we started passing signs for the University of Florida in Gainesville. As we passed through Gainesville and the signs for UF, two things raced through my mind; the first was the thought that next year this is where many of my friends would be attending school. and the second was the thought that we were in the land of the Gators, which for a future Seminole was enemy territory!

I was glad to have made it through Gator country and on to our next city Ocala. This meant we meant that we were closer to our destination. It was also exciting because one of my most favorite bands Mayday Parade, which is from Florida, sings about Ocala in one of their songs, so for me it was really cool to be riding through the place that inspired one of their songs.

As we made our way onto I-10 east, I was happy to see more of the beautiful trees surrounding us. It is such a nicer view to be riding past, in contrast to the smokey factory buildings you sometimes pass on long trips. We had about an hour and a half left of our drive, and for most of it I just watched the trees pass as I listened my iPod and talked to my mom and sisters.

When we finally got off at exit 219 A for Florida State University, I was instantly amazed at the scenery. It was like we were back up north. Tallahassee was filled with little shops, and restaurants sitting atop huge hills one right after the next. The trees, although not in the same abundance, were still surrounding our drive as we made our way to the campus that I was preparing myself to go to in the Fall.

Rental Car Growth: A Positive Future

Although the global economy is going through a rough time right now, some are optimistic about the future of the economy, especially in the global forecasts for the rental car industry. Forecasts in recent reports show a growth of 3.5% at CAGR, and this is expected in the times between 2007 and 2010. Although the there is projected growth in the more organized counties of Japan, Canada and the United States, the major part of the economic growth for the rental car industry will most likely come from up and coming economic powerhouse, such as China and the Middle East.

This comes as the technology of the rental car industry is growing rapidly, mainly due to the internet. When people log on to their favorite rental car sites, they will find much faster, and certainly more convenient and easier, to rent the car they want. This technology allows the customer to reserve, book and even pay online. Once they do that via the internet, the next step is as simple as getting to a kiosk, checking in, getting a vehicle and go.

It is good to see that even with an economic recession in the midst, there is some positive forecasts for the rental car industry.

A Trip To Baltimore, Maryland

Are you thinking about your next getaway? Are you not sure, where you would like to go? Well, Baltimore is an awesome vacation destination. There are many things to do and see while in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. One of the best ways to see everything that Baltimore has to offer is to rent a car, that way you can go anywhere that you would like without the worry of a schedule. Check out some of the great places you can visit while in this city.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is a great place to go for the entire day. They have many various exhibits and displays that will keep you entertained. Some of the exhibits include the 4-D Immersion Theater, the Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extreme, and Play! The Dolphin Show. Each of these activities will provide you with hours of fun.

Step back to a time to the War of 1812 at the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historical Shrine. You do not have to be a history buff to enjoy a day at this national monument. See the cannons overlooking the water, the restored military barracks and the enclosure of the fort. While Francis Scott Key was on a ship outside of the fort, he wrote a song that became our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner. A replica of the flag flown at that time is on display in the original spot.

There are many other things to do and see in Baltimore, so get out there in your rental car and see the city and its surrounding areas.

When you are on vacation, the last thing that you need to worry about is how you are going to get to all of the places that you want to go. No one needs a hassle when you are trying to relax; I mean that is primarily why people and families take vacations. One thing that you do not need to have a hard time with is your rental car or your reservation. That is one of the first places that you go when you get off the plane is to the rental car kiosk, and that there can make or break your day. Well, one company is doing more to try to expedite the process in which you receive your rental vehicle. Since 2007, Hertz has employed a program calls Simply Wheelz, that helps the customer get their vehicles faster.

Hertz's Simply Wheelz is an on-line program in which the customer logs on to SimplyWheelz.com, an easy to use website that Hertz created to make the rental car process move a more quickly. On their website, customers can reserve their rental vehicle and then walk up to the Simply Wheelz kiosk at any participating location, rent their reservation and go. The program is designed to make the process as easy as possible for visitors to rent their vehicles.

After success in the first program based in Orlando, Simply Wheelz has now expanded the program to airports in Los Angeles and San Diego and Miami International Airport. With easy service and competitive rates, it is no wonder why Hertz's Simply Wheelz program is a hit among travelers.

The Best Way To Travel Through Europe

Visiting Europe is probably at the top of most travelers' lists of place to roam, and I am here to say that it is at the top of the list for a reason...to put it simply, it is awesome! There are a number of ways to see the beautiful countries of Europe. Most travelers' opt to book tours that are already scheduled, so they are in a certain place on a certain day at a certain time. That may work some, but how exciting is that, really? There are only two ways to see Europe, in my humble opinion, and both options are on your own terms. The first option is to grab you backpacks and jump on the Euro rail. The other way, and I personally think this is the way to go, is to rent a car and travel as you please. Do not get me wrong, both of these options are great, I just happen to like the latter.

Let us look at the first option. The Euro rail is a train that runs throughout Europe, and, depending on how many days you want to visit, allows you to purchase a ticket at a flat rate and you can jump on the train whenever you need to. This is great because you can get on the train and head to the next town, city or country at your leisure and you do not have to worry about buying an individual ticket each time that you want to go somewhere new. The only downfall, and the only reason I like the other method of travel better, is that you have to abide by the trains schedule, so when you do decide to get up and go, you rather have to wait for the next time the train is scheduled to leave. However, this is an excellent way to trek through Europe at a reasonable price.

Moving right along, now I will spend some time on my favorite mode of transportation will visiting various places, car rentals. The greatest thing about renting a car in Europe or anywhere really, is that you can literally get up and go whenever you would like. When you have a rental car at your disposal, you do not have to follow a strict schedule that you would if you booked your vacation through a tour company and you would not have to wait for the train to arrive or leave. With a car, you can go anywhere that you want at any time that you want to, without fear of being left behind because you missed your departing time. I personally find renting a car the way to go if you want to truly explore Europe; you just have so much more freedom by using this method.

Whatever the means by which you travel, be sure to have a good time. Although I have expressed my personally opinions on how to travel, by all means, do what you fell the most comfortable with. The most important thing is that you are getting out in the world and traveling.
