Florida Beaches
We flew in from New York as snowbirds, because it started to snow on Long Island we decided it was time to go to our vacation home in Kissimmee. In our haste we took an airplane and decided that we would rent a car when we got here. We rented a car off of RentalCarMomma.com just before we landed and spent the night at our vacation home. The next morning we did what all Snow Birds do, we took the car and drove to the beach, specifically Sebastian Inlet. My wife lay in the sun, while I went fishing on the rocks; the sky was perfectly blue and the fish were biting (I say this after the fact). I caught two schnook and three red snappers. We walked along the beachside and watched the tons of servers riding six foot high waves, they were awfully close to the pier, and we thought that one of them might hit the rocks. In the inlet there were several manatees and we had to be careful that we didn’t snag any of our lines on them. Some of the fishermen there had caught barracuda and the local fishing shop said it was common to catch a fish and only real half of it up. In short, the barracuda always wanted the fish you had on your line. There were many kids on the beach digging up holes and making little castles. We spent a lot of time out on the pier; there were many Jet Ski’s riding in the surf, and trying to catch the dolphins that appeared all day long. Overall the beaches in Florida are amazing, if you get a chance be sure to visit Sebastian Inlet, the area is great.
