A Trip To Puerto Rico

So, you are looking for a place to visit and you’ve decided that a tropical island in the Caribbean is where you would like to spend you next vacation. You realize that there are a number of beautiful Caribbean islands to choose from, and all of them have their perks. However, there is one island that stands out for some reason and you finally decide that Puerto Rico is going to be your destination of choice.

Puerto Rico has a rich and interesting history that will keep you attention for entire stay. El Morro is a site that you would want to definitely check out. This 17th century Spanish fort was the first line of defense that invaders would meet as they sailed into the entrance of San Juan Bay. Connected to El Morro by an enormous wall, Fort San Cristobal was the largest fort of its kind in the Americas at one time. This fort was constructed to ward of attacks from would be invaders from the inland. Those are just two of the many historical places to do and see with a trip to Puerto Rico.

Not to fret all of you non-history buffs, Puerto Rico is also filled with many other things to do and see while you are on your vacation. Stroll through the strip the runs through San Juan Bay, stopping by all of the magnificent shops and restaurants along the way. Be sure to pick up some unique, one of a kind souvenir from any of the shops that roll along the strip. A top priority for most people while vacationing on a tropical island is to get to a beach…and fast! Puerto Rico also boasts some of the most gorgeous beaches in all of the Caribbean. You will definitely want to pay a visit to such famous beaches, such as Culebra Flamenco Beach (Playa Flamenco) or Crashboat Beach.

Whatever you decide to do while you are on your fabulous tropical vacation in Puerto Rico, be sure that you have a great time and see everything that you can while you are there. One of the best ways to get around Puerto Rico is to rent a vehicle. If you rent a vehicle while on your stay, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. Don’t let taxis and public transportation dictate where you go on your vacation, instead get a discount rental vehicle and see the island on your own terms.
