Thanksgiving 09'
One of my favorite times of year is Thanksgiving. No doubt about it when your family gets together and celebrates over a huge home cooked meal its just something you cant get anywhere else. In my home it feels as if you just but all the worries aside and just eat, which is my favorite thing to do! Now I love my mother’s cooking and so does everyone else in my family, in fact every one of my cousin’s aunts and uncles love it too so they drive from all parts of the country to come enjoy our food. Now though Thanksgiving is a time to put all your worries aside you’ll always have the family members that worry about money instead of having a good time, so in order for everyone to get over to our house I linked them to an endless amount of coupon codes so they can rent cars for as little money as possible. I had people renting everything from coupes to 12- passenger vans, yep 12-passengars when I say I have a big family I mean I have a BIG family. People were coming from as far north as New York and as far west as Nevada. At about noon today the last of the people arrived at my house, my entire road was filled up and wrapped around the block! We had so many people we couln’t even divide them among 4 tables, we had people eating on the couch, the back porch, the garage, on the stairs. It was amazing how uncomfortable it looked yet how no one seemed to mind at all because there was a fat plate of food in front of them and family all around them. The worst part of thanksgiving is the clean up, but like everyone always says family will be there through thick and thin so we got a lot of help cleaning up – a lot more than we really needed! Overall we had a great time and this family tradition is something that will carry on for many, many years to come.
