A Delicious Chocolate Cake 09'

Many people say my girlfriend is one of the luckiest people in this world, its almost like her parents made sure her birthday was right between Christmas and New Years. She gets all the benefits of holidays on her birthday and believe me she takes every bit of advantage she can get. Usually things go smoothly but this year it was a step away from a disaster. Most people say that when its cold your car runs better, well today old reliable wasn’t doing so good, I made it to work to pick something up from the office and on my way out, my car doesn’t start. I spent one summer of my life working in an automotive repair shop when I was 16, and I used all the knowledge to determine that I couldn’t fix the car myself. Good thing enterprise was on my side with this situation without a hesitation they came and got me and brought me to the nearest location where I rented a Nissan Altima. Now with a new car I could get all of the tasks done and the best part is even though I was set back, I was less than an hour behind thanks to enterprise’s speedy service. In my new car I rushed over to a local Publix to purchase a cake, now this wasn’t your ordinary birthday cake that everyone takes a slice of and then it sits in the fridge for all of eternity. This cake was named the Chocolate Lover's Delight by Publix and its nothing less than perfection in a circular chocolate drenched form. With little effort this cake easily glorified chocolate in everyway possible. Before I purchased the caked I gazed in its elegant four layers of moist chocolate cake which were seamlessly stuffed and frosted with Publix’s rich chocolate fudge icing and to the best part was that it was topped with ganache and glazed strawberries. I seriously stared at this cake for a good 5 minutes before I bought it, and if it were possible I might have married it as well. Transporting such a fine piece of sugary goodness is not a simple task in fact it’s very intricate and must be well planned out, I carefully placed a seat belt around my enclosed piece of chocolate art and began to drive. Everything I learned in High School’s driver’s ed. ran out of my mind about 95% of my journey home my eyes were off the road and on this beautiful piece of heaven sitting in the passenger seat. I carefully pulled into my driveway and walked the cake into the house where it sat un attended in my kitchen waiting for my girlfriend to arrive. I grabbed the presents from my car and continued to wrap them, I rushed just so I could get another glance at the culinary perfection sitting on the kitchen table. After everyone came and my girlfriend was on her way I couldn’t take it anymore, I ripped open the box and began to take a slice of the cake, I just couldn’t help it! When she walked in everyone yelled surprise as I wiped the chocolate off of my mouth when I presented her with the cake she asked what happened to the other half, I replied “that’s how I got it”. I’m single now with a cake filled bachelor pad.
