Los Angeles

Los Angeles

Los Angeles, yep that’s where we went, and boy did we have a blast, the place is great. It took a lot of planning to make this trip reality but we were prepared to drive across the entire country from Florida to L.A. When the time came and we had made our plans concrete we headed to Budget Car Rental and picked out the car of my dreams. Cruising down the road in a Pontiac Solstice was just what we needed; if we were going to L.A. we were going in style.

Now we had considered doing a tour of the city but instead did all the research ourselves, now you know my wife and her camera so naturally we were prepared to take pictures of every site we passed. It took us roughly four days to get there, we ended up stopping at several places along the way and taking pictures, but once we got there we went straight to our hotel in West Hollywood. I’m not gonna lie, we stayed in a nice hotel, however, we usually don’t give out the names of places we stay, even if I would like to brag.

Los AngelesThe next day me and my wife went site seeing in out Solstice, we made our way to Beverly Hills to see all the celebrity homes, there were a few key ones that we wanted to visit. We took pictures of a bunch and we always circled to see how close to the house we could get. Some of the houses were massive, others were just normal but beautiful looking. What I’m trying to say is that there wasn’t a single house that didn’t look as if it was owned by someone important, no matter the size.

The next day we went to Hollywood to see some of the more glamorous areas. The place is huge, and we even got to walk inside a few studios, nothing big but some of the places offered guest mini self guided tours. We saw a few landmarks and then caught a movie in a massive theater. That night my wife was adamant on wanting to see a show, so we bought tickets to see one of the shows a tour guide online had suggested. Wow was it great, and colorful, I never realized how much work went into these things. It has to be incredibly hard to remember all those lines and get them to perfection, these two hour shows are no joke, I recommend seeing one if you get the opportunity.

The next day we paid for a helicopter ride and toured the city via air. This was amazing, the pilot knew all the key locations and the best ways to get great camera shots, now he was restricted to specific air space, but the guy got us really close to a lot of the larger attractions and casinos. We flew near Disney Land and Six Flags, we buzzed around so rapidly and the guy gave us so much information that we were so content, which had been a concern of ours when paying for the slightly overpriced tour.

If you get a chance to go to Los Angeles then do so, there is so much to do and so much to see it’s just an overall grate experience. And rent a Pontiac Solstice, man was that thing fun!
