New York

Best Western
So were still in New York, and more of the family is arriving. The snow is falling big time here, and we keep going out with the kids and push them off while they sled. I helped my youngest grandson make a snowman, well a deformed one. But it is getting really crowded around here, and as the fantastic people we are we offered to stay at a hotel. We found the best place in town, a nice and cozy Best Western. This place is really nice and clean, and the service is good. They have free Wi-Fi so here I am typing from my lap top.

Unfortunately our Chevrolet Taho is toast. Well, that is to say that when we went to check in on it the reason it has been taking so long is because the tire isn’t fixable. There is a seven inch gash in it where the hair piece went through, I don’t even know how it’s possible for a little thing to do so much damage. Anyhow we had to go back to National and get a new car. Would you believe they refunded our entire Chevrolet Taho rental? That was probably the best Christmas present ever. National gave us a Dodge Journey, and wow, this sleek looking vehicle is fast and well… I love it. We have been riding around doing errands all week. Or I have. Every time someone asks for something at the store I jump to it, I love this little car. It has a ton of space and it handles amazingly!

So after running errands for the past two days and relaxing at the Best Western hotel were kinda anticipating that Christmas day. We drove into Manhattan yesterday to see where the World Trade Centers used to be. You don’t really realize how massive those two structures were until you get there, and every restaurant in town is filled with images the shop owners took while it happened. Then we went to Central Park, took a long walk, and then ate some real New York Pizza. The real Pizza is the Italian kind you can find near the bridges, don’t settle for anything else, its just not worth it.

This little car is awesome, and after Christmas were gonna take it home, maybe even keep a day or two extra. I’m serious I have never been this enthusiastic about a car, but this one is just plain awesome! Santa came by today on a fire truck and tossed the kids candy canes, gosh I love New York!
