Barbados

Barbados
Barbados, yes the island in the Caribbean. We decided that after all the hectic and stressful days the Holiday Season had brought we needed a break. And we decided renting a condo on the waters edge and just relaxing for a week was the way to go. We have been looking at pictures and talking with friends who have been there and we honestly want to go and just sit on the beach at Fortescue. And when we got our plane tickets we sealed the deal.

Now upon arrival we stopped at Advantage and got our Hyundai Accent, and wow that car looks pretty. The thing doesn’t make a sound, I mean it, if we wanted to slip in under radar that’s the car I would take. We planned to just go to our condo and relax for a week, but as soon as we arrived we realized that there are so many local attractions. I mean like ancient dances and midnight fires, all that great stuff you can just go and watch. Of course the beaches were gorgeous, I mean amazing, the water was blue and the sand white, couldn’t ask for more. There were clear skies the entire time we were there, which was surprising to me because I always thought that being on an island and all there would be a lot of storms.

Our condo wasn’t really a condo; it was like a luxury resort, no joke this thing was amazing. I keep wanting to go back just because of the amazing shower, the thing sprayed you from 3 sides (It was fantastic). We took a tour around the third day in a wooden canoe, the guide rowed us for several miles up and down the islands coast and then we were rowed way out to an uninhabited island. The trash was kind of a dead giveaway but they said “no one” had ever been there before.

Barbados is the perfect place to just relax in the sun. It wasn’t to hot, it wasn’t to cold it was just right. If you get a chance to go I suggest Fortescue, although we have never been anywhere else on the island. However if you do go, you cant take my condo, its mine and I really don’t wanna share.
