When I was younger and living in New York we used to drive up to Canada at least twice a year to visit some family members, now that I live in Florida driving up there has never been something I’ve never had time for until I got a few days off for the new year! One thing I really enjoyed doing is road trips so I rented a minivan and a few guys and I went to drive up, the first thing on my mind to do was go to the Skylon tower, I’ve been there a million times before when I was a kid but my friend is afraid of heights and I wanted to make sure he got a nice view of the bottom when we look down from the glass bottom of the tower. Before we left we made sure we rented a car for this journey because a few months ago we thought it would be a great idea to buy convertibles which aren’t as warm as other cars but that’s okay because Avis made it unbelievably easy to rent a car from the Orlando International airport, even though it was only 3 of us we decided since we would be on the road for many days we would need as much space as we can get, We’re down in Florida where the sun is shining and it seemed to get darker and colder the more time we spent driving I was actually very surprised how cold it was in North Florida! We stopped at a few motels on the way there and saved a bunch of money using some coupons we found online, it was a lot better than sleeping in the minivan I’ll tell you that much. When we got to

Canada our first stop was Niagara Falls it was a great sight to see all of the snow and the rushing water, without wasting time we made our way over to the Skylon Tower which is located right in the center of the Hotel District. We slowly went up, which seemed like it was taking forever for my friend that is afraid of heights and when we got on the top he was afraid to walk over the glass, but rest assured that didn’t prevent any of us from pushing him on there. The unique thing about this trip is we didn’t really want to drive back home so we returned the car at Avis and stayed a few more days at the hotel instead of using those days toward driving. We got a taxi to the airport on our last day and just drove out with our bags, hopped on a plane and returned to sunny Florida. We all had a great time and I can’t wait to do it again!
