My Washington D.C. Wrestling Trip

We were on our way. My entire wrestling team and I had to take a trip up to Washington D.C. for a huge wrestling tournament. This could possibly be the biggest tournament of my life. We departed from Orlando and made our way North and hopped on the turnpike for the shortest trip time. I was excited!

We made it to Atlanta, Georgia when all of a sudden the hood of our 12 passenger van began to smoke. Not a good sign! My coach pulled over the van and popped the hood to take a look at the damage. Some how the long trip blew out the radiator. Normally this would not be a huge problem and could be taken to a shop and fixed within a few hours. Unfortunately for us however we did not have that much time to spare. We needed to be in Washington D.C. in less than 12 hours! We needed a plan and we needed it fast!

We were towed to the nearest shop and I pulled out my phone and was able to look up the Enterprise rent a car phone number. I called up Enterprise and set us up for a 12 passenger van rental. Enterprise picked us up right from the Atlanta shop and within an hour of my call we were on our way again.

We made it to Washington D.C. in the nick of time. I quickly proceeded to weigh ins, got dressed and was ready to wrestle. I ended up placing second in tournament and now have my medal at home to prove it. By the time the tournament was over our van was ready to go from the shop. If we weren't able to rent that van so quickly we never would have made it there in time.
