San Diego

An aerial photo of the Devils Tower National Monument According to a lot of online searching, we’ve found out that San Diego is one of the best cities for summer travel so the first thing we decided to do was book a trip to visit the beautiful city. Now the first thing that we all asked each other is have any of us really ever been to San Diego and the answers were no’s all across the board so we definitely had to make this trip! I’ve been to California plenty of times but never had the opportunity of going to San Diego, everything I’ve read about San Diego was positive and I’ve never heard bad reviews about it either. We had the option of flying or driving and of course we chose driving because we like having the freedom of stopping wherever we want to stop and being able to get out and stretch with out having to hit people by accident and the best part of the entire driving over flying decision is that we save a bunch of money by being a lot more comfortable which is alright with me, actually its not one bit of a problem Now there was no question what so ever about going on this trip in fact the only hard part about this trip would be finding time that everyone was okay with. It was actually a lot easier than you may think. We just said we were going on a specific day and pretty much just went on a specific day! We just went back to our old days of being careless and not worrying about what people think and for once it actually worked and we had no problem doing so. Well anyways we started off our trip where we usually start our random road trips, the Orlando International Airport. We planned on renting a car and as usual found great rates online and couldn’t turn away a huge Chevy Silverado for less than you can imagine. We started out our trip fine, we made it out of the state of Florida in what seemed to be no time and it almost felt like we were just flying through states a few stops at a time. For anyone else out there planning on doing such an intense road trip I highly recommend stopping every once in a while and switching drivers, that it feels like you’re only driving a little bit when in reality you’re covering a lot of ground. We drove and drove and drove and stopped and stopped and stopped we were actually very surprised that we barely had to wait in any traffic, that is of course because no one wanted to be in front of a huge truck with a bunch of men trying to get to San Diego. We recently arrived not too long ago and packed all of our stuff at the hotel, thanks for wi-fi and other apps on our cell phones we were able to spot out some good places to eat and great places to hang out, the sun hasn’t set yet but we have great intentions for this night ahead of us!
