4,752 Miles Away To Paradise! Part One
We were thrilled that we would be receiving a nice tax return, so we decided that what a better way to spend the money than helping the economy. Therefore, we made our trip one for the ages, Hawaii!
We book our flight, and then we rented a nice SUV with Thrifty a Ford Escape. That will fit the six of us and also room for the baggages, plus the price wasn’t bad at all: $429.35 for a whole week and unlimited miles! The group (Alexis, Carolina, Patty, Jay, Alejandra and I) decided to scrap the first day cause the trip is exhausting. We ate light and then we went to sleep to brush off the jetlag.
We woke up early in the morning to squeeze the best of the day, and we decided to go to Diamond Head which is a nice mountain where you can see the entire city of Honolulu. Let me tell you that is an awesome view, and there was a lovely rainbow that crosses the sky that added to the beautiful pictures. Alejandra is not only a beautiful girl but she studied a little photography and she took marvelous pictures in Diamond Head that seemed like one of those postcard one! After that we went straight to Makapu’u Point. It is a trail that the locals used it for their exercises, but is also a nice area where you can see other natural scenic views of Oahu. Another nice thing is that it has a Lighthouse, and its not a stretch how Hawaii is often visited cause is extremely difficult not to admire its beauty.
We thought that it will be a total waste if we come all the way from Florida and not take a picture of the most recognizable statue in sight, the King Kamehameha I statue. You see, we all fans of the show “Hawaii 5-0”. Jay, Alexis and I were humming the theme song and the girls were like doing the hula. We joked if they were preppin’ for the Luau.
