Toronto, is the most popular city in Canada
and is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario.
Toronto is known for being at the heart of the Greater
Toronto Area as well as part of the densely populated region

their 175th anniversary, since 1834 when it was called the
City of Toronto. This city is known as a clean. safe,

recreational, and cultural facilities. It is the home to

largest English-speaking theatre district in the world. This
city is also one of the most diverse cities in the world
with more than 80 ethnic communities from Africa, Asia, and
Europe. It is also the business center of Canada.
Things to do in Toronto
The African Lion Safari is located in the
West of Metro Toronto and it first opened in 1969 with just
forty lions. This park is family owned and grew to have over
a thousand different animals. These
animals roam freely in very large habitats as guests drive
through as safari style. Guests will most likely see baby
animals running around as well due to the successful captive
breeding program. Including with going on the safari and
seeing all the animals there are also other thing to do and
see such as Misumu Bay Wet Play area, Jungle Playground,
animal demonstrations and performances, a train tour and a
lake cruise. They also have Safari Bus Tours available for
an extra cost. In the park there are two full service
restaurants, many snack carts, and two gift shops.
Casa
Loma is located in Midtown Toronto and was built in 1917 by
Sir Henry Pellat who was a financier and military officer.
This castle was built for a whopping $3.5 million and the
home was a gift to his wife. Just within ten years the house
was only worth $27,305. This home has beautiful 17th century
architecture which includes Elizabeth chimneys, Rhenish
turrets, underground tunnels, and secret passageways. The
furnishings alone originally cost $1.5 million. Some of the
other features of the house include a marble swimming pool,
a 10,000 volume library and 15 bathrooms. His wife also had
horses which also lived in luxury with each of their names
engraved in 18-carat gold above their stalls. This house has
self guided audio tours with no additional fees.

Museums in Toronto
Bata
Shoe Museum is located in the downtown area of Toronto
and is held in Richard Moriyama's award-winning, five
story building. This museum is North America's largest
shoe museum with a collection that reaches more than
10,000 artifacts over 4,500 years. Some of the displayed
items in the museum are shoes from notables like Elvis
Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Elton john, Ginger Spice,
Imelda Marcos, and an Egyptian smuggler who lived in 300

The Royal

Canada's largest museum. This museum is also a research facility
and preserves more than six million treasures of
art,
archaeology, and natural science. This museum is also known as
ROM, it mostly features an intricate Venetian glass ceiling
which shows myriad cultures. There are many exhibits here in
this museum which include everything from bats and dinosaurs
bones to a Ming tomb in the Chinese art and antiquities
collection. There is also a Discovery Gallery which holds
hands-on displays that were created especially for children.
