• Disney's Animal Kingdom

• Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
  Is one of two water parks within Disney World Resort.  Typhoon Lagoon is a wonderful place to spend the day when you are visiting Lake Buena Vista.   However, during the summer months you will want to arrive early because the park fills up quickly.  Typhoon Lagoon was created to replicate the storm of all storms, during a meteorological disturbance surfboards were hurled into palm trees, boats were tossed through roofs of beach houses and scattered onto mountains.  Atop Mount Mayday sits a large shrimp boat named Miss Tilly that was swept up from the twisting tides and now sits stranded on top of the volcanic mountain Mount Mayday.  Daily on the half hour the whistle sounds and the volcano attempts to dislodge Miss Tilly causing an enormous geyser to shoot upward.  Mount Mayday is the source of several fun and exciting waterslides. Surrounding the mountain is over fifty acres of outdoor thrills from rivers, rapids and slides.  Typhoon Lagoon offers something for the entire family from fast, exciting waterslides to a children's area full of fun children's water activities and raft rides just for the little visitors.  You can even catch six-foot waves in the Surf Pool or snorkel at the Shark Reef with Leopard sharks, stingrays and a variety of bright colored tropical fish. Other highlighted rides include: Storm Slides- feature three fast moving body slides taking you down three stories at a fast rate of speed.  Crush 'N' Gusher- offers three different roller coaster like waterslides, holding up to three passengers at one time, or if you are brave enough to ride solo take the plunge and go for it!!!  For the ultimate thrill seekers head over to Humunga Kowabunga and ride one of three enclosed, side-by-side body slides here you will fly down five stories in seconds.  To slow things down take a relaxing float at Castaway Creek in the gentle winding stream and float around the park.  Gang Plank Falls is the perfect place to ride with your family or a group of your friends down 300 feet of  raging falls these large tubes can hold up to four people.   Typhoon Lagoon is the perfect place to cool off from the hot Florida sun there is even white sandy beaches full of lounge chairs and umbrellas making this the perfect place for excitement and relaxation.
