New York is the place where anything can happen. Once while I was visiting New York with my family, we were walking down the street near Times Square and noticed TV crews were inside of McDonalds Restaurant. So we went over to see what was going on. It turned out to be an audition for a commercial. We entered my nephew and my daughter into the audition. Although they were not chosen for the commercial, it was fun watching them audition. They had to learn a script and eat a french fry. Only in New York can you walk down the street and possibly end up in a TV commercial.
Empire State Building - Come visit one the most popular buildings in New York. See the city from a building that is 1,453 feet 8 9/16 inches tall. It is possible to see the surrounding states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts from the observatory level. Bring your cameras to take breath taking pictures. With 73 elevators, you wont have to climb the 1,860 steps that takes you from street level to the 102nd floor. When the sun goes down you can enjoy the colorful lights from the building.
Rockefeller Center - Visit the largest privately held complex that spans through 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres in the heart of Manhattan. Some of the buildings include Radio City Music Hall, a Center Art Building, several corporate business buildings, small parks, The GE Building (RCA Building) and The underground Concourse which is a series of passageways underground that connects you to the many building within Rockefeller Center. The famous ice skating rink is located on the concourse level and can be accessed through stairways or from many restaurants within the Center.
Statue of Liberty - A must see for all visitors! This 450,000 pound statue was a gift from France and represents freedom for many people. View the inside of the statue and learn about the work of art through a glass ceiling with a park ranger guiding your tour. See panoramic views of New York City from the observation deck. View the exhibits and enjoy the poem by Emma Lazarus, "The New Colossus" all while visiting this historical monument.
