• Oregon Symphony
  Founded in 1896, it had its first concert in October of the year and it is one  the oldest symphonies in the West. Due to the vast number of concerts it performed outside of Portland, it's name changed from Portland Symphony Society to Oregon Symphony. Through the years, the Oregon Symphony has evolved into a premier orchestra much in demand with highly talented men and women. In 2005 the single largest gift of $5 million was pledged to help expand the orchestra's donor base.

• Oregon Ballet Theatre
  Established in 1989, the Ballet Theatre was inaugurated as a professional ballet company.  It's continuing goal is to provide both quality performances, education and training as well as conduct regional and national tours. Developing a distinct repertoire and style, the dance company accumulated over 80 ballets and evening-length classics. Not only did the dance company become extremely successful but nearly 200 students where on the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre's roster under the direction of Damara Bennett. The School is now recognized as one of the preeminent ballet schools in the Country.

• Portland Art Museum
  Founded in 1892, the new Portland Art Museum was completed after 10 years of expansion and growth. Renovating the adjacent 141,000 square-foot property provided greater accessibility to the rapidly growing collections and programs. Featuring a new Center for Modern and Contemporary Art, two incredible ballrooms, and a Art Study Center and library to satisfy the needs of the new museum-goers.

• Pearl District
  Nearly 10 years ago the phrase Pearl District was coined by a gallery owner named Thomas Augustine. Perhaps and old warehouse or canning factories, it's origins are not clearly known by it's local residents. For years the local was called the "warehouse district" for lack of a better name. Looking to label the area with a catchy name, the name "Pearl District" was adopted due to an Alaskan Airlines writer who used it in his columns. Today, the District is a deco art venue with galleries, art school, name brand shopping, real estate, and services.
