This attraction is a must see when you are visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico. El Rancho de las Golondrinas literally translates to "the ranch of the swallows". The buildings taht now stand on the the ranch are restorations and recreations of the buildings that would have been there during the 17th and 18th century. Depending on what time of year that you are there, you can see the attendants dressed in period clothing, reenacting everyday life in the 17th and 18th century. San Miguel Mission
When you visit Santa Fe, New Mexico, there are many, many things to de and see, and you will certainly not run out of amazing historical sites to visit. One site that could be on your list is the San Miguel Mission. The old Spanish mission was built by Indian slaves and was occupied by the Spanish Colonists in 1625. The church was nearly destroyed due to an uprising in 1680. However, not long after the revolt, the Spanish regained control over Santa Fe and rebuilt the church. A service is still held there every Sunday at 5pm.
