  Escaping Nazi Germany in 1939, Walter Loebenberg remarkable journey is expressed in the the Florida Holocaust Museum memorial. It's mission is to educate and maintain a permanent record of the atrocities committed in WWII in order to prevent future genocides against innocent men and women.  Out of his personal experience as a soldier in collaboration with other community leaders, survivors, Holocaust scholars was conceived the concept of a living memorial for those who suffered.
