Shopping sometimes can be the most exciting part of some vacations. This is often times true when visiting relatives especially because you can’t always plan your destinations. If Bossier City is your destination city then shopping is most likely going to be on your agenda it has one of the best shopping center for miles and mile around. The Louisiana Boardwalk by name has a wide selection of shops, eatery’s, movies, and just plane fun for any ages. It sits directly on the Red River right across from downtown. The river side of the boardwalk covers over half a mile of shore line and it is the first lifestyle center in Louisiana to offer shopping, entertainment, and water front dinning. It’s a great place to go for a night out as well. The night can start early with some fun shopping at places like Bass Pro Shop or somewhere a little more enjoyable for the females exploring Bath & Body Works or Perfumania. It has a great selection of Jewelry from Ultra Diamonds. After shopping you will be want to hit the arcade for a few dollars of classic fun then sit down and get off your feet enjoying a movie at the regal cinemas’. The theatre has 9 different screens showing a wide array of videos all day long starting in the early afternoon around 2 o’clock. This theatre doesn’t offer realD or Imax screens but don’t let that stop you from going it’s a great time.

It seems the more I travel through Louisiana the more great seafood restaurants I find. Everywhere I look there is unbeatable seafood. While in Bossier City the locals at the Boardwalk pointed us to Ralph & Kacoo’s Seafood Restaurant. At first I wasn’t sure by the name but after a quick look on Google I was reassured by numerous people this was the place to eat in Bossier City. The Seafood restaurant started in 1969 along the old Mississippi, due to the popular fishing camps it became popular with the natives. Because of the popularity it allows Ralph & Kacoo to expand and open 3 other restaurants that year each as successful as the first. They are listed in top 100 places to dine in American and as the best Cajun Seafood in Louisiana. Each and every day they provide the service that makes them a member of that 100 restaurants. There are daily specials that are delicious surprisingly one of my favorites was the 11 oz Rib eye. I wasn’t sure why I got a steak while I was at a place famous for their seafood but I did and I wasn’t disappointed. The Steak was 100% angus beef and every bite was tender and delicious. The others in my party decided to get the famous house seafood and they absolutely loved it. There was the Shrimp St Charles, The Catfish acadiana, and the Stuffed Bell pepper. The bell pepper looked really good it was stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp.
