You can go to Capitol Center for the Arts located near the capitol building. It is a well-known entertainment venue in the city. It features a 1,310 seat theatre designed with an Egyptian motif. Originally opened in 1927, the theatre is equipped to present many of today's lavish Broadway shows. The center is the largest and most successful performing arts center in New Hampshire. It has played host to a wide variety of events over the years including Broadway shows, dance performances, pop and country stars, family shows, international performances and more. The center also houses the Governor's Hall, a full-service function room that can accommodate up to 350 guests and the Kimball House, a Victorian mansion featuring a formal dining room, a library and a parlor.

There are a lot more to do in Concord for a travel enthusiast. The Museum of New Hampshire History draws many visitors to the city each year. It is located just across the street from the New Hampshire. It offers exhibitions on the heritage and traditions of the New Hampshire as well as a wide variety of programs. The museum displays the Concord Coach, antique hand-made furniture and the most intriguing object called the Mystery Stone among other artifacts. The Mystery Stone is a football shaped grey-colored stone with etchings that was unearthed in 1872 near Lake Winnipesaukee. It is a great place to learn about the history of the Granite State. From there you can go to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center. It is New England’s first and only air and space science center located in Concord. The Discovery Center primarily focuses on astronomy, engineering, Earth and space sciences. It features advanced permanent and traveling exhibits, interactive exhibits in astronomy and Earth and space sciences, simulation experiences, a full-sized replica of a Mercury-Redstone rocket, a planetarium theater, a rooftop observatory and NASA Educator Resource Center. It also includes a science store and a café. If you enjoy golfing then you can go to Beaver Meadow Golf Course, located at Beaver Meadow Drive. It is the oldest golf course in the State of New Hampshire, established in 1896. This is a 18-hole golf course featuring 6,356 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course hosts many outings and tournaments each year and is open to the public. It was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish. It is a well maintained facility that offers a positive recreational experience for everyone.
