What to explore in Corvallis

Osborn Aquatic Center I can’t remember the last time I took the family down to the pubic pool. That could be because the public pool where I live is lame and nothing like the pools in Corvallis. In Corvallis you can enjoy the Osborn Aquatic Center from March to September. The Aquatic Center sports four pools two inside and two outside. Inside the pools are temperature controlled and kept at 83degree F. The largest of the two pools is an Olympic sized 50 meter pool, the pool is 165 feet long and 65 feet longer and hold 485,000 gallons of water. If you don’t understand what those numbers means is that it’s a huge pool. The pool has many great features one of the most notable is the movable bulkhead. The bulkhead allows the pool to be cut in half making it two 25 meter runs instead of the longer 50. The pool has a deep end at 13 feet that has 2 diving boards a 1 meter and 3 meter board, zipline, slide, and even a rope swing. In the shallow end you can find inflatable logs, mats, and tubes to sit and relax with. The second indoor pool is smaller bring 40 by 22 feet and only being 4 and a half feet deep. Outside are two more cool pools the smaller is a lap pool much like the large pool inside however it is only 82x 42 feet. The larger outdoor pool is much like a small water park with large colorful sides that young kids will love. The pool is deepest at 3 and a half feet so its great for the young kids. Beside the large slides it has a free formed lazy river on the size that is pump driven. The pool is designed for water fun in mind and there are numerous water cannons and small slides that are great for young kids, be sure to keep an eye on your kids because it can be crowned during the summer.
