Danforth Museum of Art There are two things in this world that people love, and they are art and food. In Framingham you can be sure to get both but one great place to stop and spend some time taking in art. Framingham is home to the Danforth Museum of Art, it was put in place in 1975 with a small group of citizens. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5. Admission for adults is just $11, $9 for seniors, and $8 for students. The Museum has a great collection of art and many of the pieces are local. One of the current exhibits is The Giving Tree Project. This exhibit is special because it was started by 7th graders and they called other students to create 3 dimensional trees. Each one is unique and was created by a young artist many who knew they were artists and others this may have been there first piece of artwork. The Danforth Museum of Art fosters art in the young of Framingham. They are constantly offering classes from the Danforth School of Art. The classes are for all ages ranging from small kids and familes to adult workshops. For information on the classers just checkout Danforth’s website and look into classes in Digital Photography or mosaics, the kids will love classes in subjects like starts and stripes or clay magic.
