There isn’t a better way to explore the Arizona are then on the back of a jeep. In Goodyear there is a small attraction dedicated to showing anyone who wants to see the great Arizona landscape. AZ Jeep Tours has been running for many year and its own Fred Amator is a Arizona native who has spent his entire life in this land. He knows the ins and outs of most area. Fred’s tours range from 2 hours to 6 depending on which you want to see. The tours consist of desert tours and a Farm Tour. The farm tour is a little different from the others because instead of showing the great landscape it shows are the farms of Arizona have crafted the land to suit their needs. The farm tour is 3 hours and consists of many different farms that range from growing vegetables to cows. The diversity of Arizona is only second to California and you are sure to see that diversity on your trip. During the Farm tour there is a brief stop at a local farmers market where you can buy farm fresh goods. Fred’s Jeep tours are a great way to get to know the area and the secrets of the desert. Tours require at least 2 people and start at $105 a person for the farm tour and go up to $195 for the 6 hour tour.

When I was growing up my mom would always buy the bread with the most grains and oats she could find. I would hate asking for a grilled cheese because it tasted horrible, but the bread was so good for you. After growing up I learned that good tasting bread doesn’t have to be bad for you. Most of what I learned and most of the bread I eat comes from the Wildflower bread company. This San Francisco based company has 12 locations and my favorite is in Goodyear Arizona. The Wildflower Bread Company makes the best artisan bread that you can find anywhere. Each loaf starts in one of the Wildflower central locations and the dough is mixed and crafted from 100 organic ingredients , none of their breads have any preservatives in them. After being mixed its put on a refrigerated truck. Over night the breads are driven out to the 12 retail bakeries then early in the morning the breads are put into the imported ovens that bake the bread fresh into the rolls or rounds that you eat and buy. The process takes about 48 hours but there isn’t a faster way to produce bread that tastes as good a Wildflower Loaf. There isn’t a better way to enjoy a slice of Wildflower bread then on one of their Gourmet sandwiches. Each sandwich is hand crafted and made to order. Get a classic Italian or something a little more robust like Roast Beef & Gorgonzola which happens to be one of my favorites. I could eat at wildflower Bread Company 3 meals a day 7 days a week If I could afford it. Meals are priced fair at about 6-7 bucks.
