Milford is the fourth largest city in Delaware. It is also known as the Gateway to Southern Delaware. Visitors can visit Milford downtown and its historic district featuring shops, museums and galleries. This is also the gathering place for people from all walks of life. The museum was established in 1983. It promotes the history of Milford and the surrounding communities as well as the general history of Delaware through exhibits and special programs. The building also houses a research library of Delaware publications. You can also visit Lydia Ann B. Cannon Museum located on the Union Street.
