    Federal Hall was constructed in 1700, becoming New York's first city hall, and would later become the first capitol of the new United States and the place where George Washington was inaugurated as the first President in 1789; also where the Bill of Rights was ratified. It was taken down in 1812, with a new Federal Hall National Memorial being constructed on the exact site in 1842, but called the New York Customs House. Today, it managed by the National Park Service, run as a museum that honors the historical events that occurred here. The first hall was constructed as the city hall, and in 1735, John Peter Zenger, a colonial newspaper publisher, was arrested for libel against the royal governor, was tried and then put in the prison there.

    The Frick Collection is actually an art museum located in Manhattan, New York City and held in the former house of steel magnate, Henry Clay Frick, designed by Thomas Hastings and built in 1913 and 1914. The building was constructed when the majority of buildings on Fifth Avenue, beyond 59th Street, were mansions, with a couple of private clubs and hotel. Set within this rich haven, Frick's house was one of the most elaborate, with private gardens on the avenue frontage and interior courtyard.
