The arboretum includes mature trees and limestone bluffs, with almost 5 mile long trails and two bridges across Wolf Creek. You can stop at the Arboretum Café for a snack, sandwich and drink. If you have children then you can take them to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. This 12-acre Children’s Farmstead was opened in 1978. It features nearly 200 animals and birds, vegetable and flower gardens, a one-room country schoolhouse, an old-time fishing pond and pony rides among other attractions. Children can bottle feed baby goats, milk a cow and take a horse drawn wagon ride through the woods. it is a fun place to visit and mostly focused on the farm animals.
