While passing through Woodbury Minnesota you should be sure to stop by the Veterans Memorial and pay tribute to the men and women that have served our country. The people of Woodbury came together and formed the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Council who had the Woodbury Veterans Memorial built in 2007. The memorial is filled with personalized paver’s that honor people who have served and those that are serving. The memorial is free and open to the public. The Veterans Memorial Council still offers the chance for you to add personalized pavers to the memorial. So if you have a loved one who is serving or has served for $300 you can add a personalized paver with their name in their honor. They also hold a yearly Veterans Day Ceremony on the grounds. The Woodbury Veterans Memorial is located at 8301 Valley Creek Road west of Radio Drive on City Hall’s campus and can be accessed from the east parking lot. This is a memorial worth stopping to see the location could not be more beautiful so if you are in the area you owe it to our veterans who served in the armed forces to protect what you and I have today to stop by and honor them and teach your children about our countries hero’s and how important they are and always will be.
