Things to do in Los Angeles, California
Disneyland
Disneyland, the original theme park set up by Walt Disney in 1955 and open to the public in 1956. This wonderland of characters, animation, and fun and exciting rides was Walt Disney’s vision, and was the only park to be completed with Walt’s complete guidance. Set in a triangular shape, Disneyland is comprised of different lands each with their own theme. Main Street USA is located at the entrance to the park. It resembles a typical Midwestern town with a theater, candy shops, a train station, city hall, arcades, and an Audio-Animatronic attraction featuring Abraham Lincoln speaking about the early times of our country and the future of what’s to come. Just north of Main Street USA is Cinderella’s Castle. Cinderella’s Castle is the staple icon of Disneyland. It sits in the center of the park and acts as an entrance to Fantasyland. Cross over a drawbridge and moat into the magical world of Fantasyland where guests can find “It’s a Small World”, and “Peter Pan’s Flight” which always make the children’s eyes light up with excitement. Just to the north of Fantasyland is Mickey’s Toontown where the children get to meet their favorite characters. Tomorrowland and Frontierland are set up to either side of Cinderella’s castle and hold plenty of amazing attractions for the whole family including Star Tours, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain respectively. Other lands at Disneyland Park in California include Adventureland, New Orleans Square, and Critter Country. All the lands are connected by the Disneyland Rail Road. The entire park is lit up with magic, wonder, and excitement which is fun for the whole family. When visiting Los Angeles, California one needs to get some tickets to Disneyland and enjoy an amazing experience.
