For an amazing time in an action packed environment filled with amazing rides, great shows and out-of-this-world animal attractions, Busch Gardens is the place to be. Busch Gardens is the sister company to SeaWorld in Orlando Florida. It is an amazing park which turns this little piece of Tampa Bay into a part of the African tundra filled with amazing African animals and thrill rides which hold local African legends high in the sky just above the amazing dips and dives the feature to send riders screaming. All of the thrill rides in the tundra including the coasters and water rides at Busch Gardens make the thrill experience memorable and everlasting. Some are a little less intense than others including Cheetah Chase and Stanley Falls which do not feature any upside down maneuvers of any sort. These are dwarfed by the larger roller coasters and flume rides like Gwazi, Kumba, Montu, Scorpion, Tanganyika Tidal Wave, and the brand new SheiKra. There are some non thrill rides on the lineup including Rhino Rally which is a safari ride through the greatness of Africa. There are plenty of animals walking about seeking shelter from the Florida heat, foraging for food, and playing with one another. Guests have the ability to see these animals as tour guides offer plenty of information on them. The Serengeti Railway gives guests a great view of the Serengeti Plains including all of the animals which make their homes there. It is a slow moving train ride through the beautiful lands. With a plethora of shows including entertaining musical performances, and other amazing adventures, there is never a shortage of things to do at Busch Gardens. While at Busch Gardens spend some time looking at all the great African animals in the park.
Ybor City has been known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter for over 100 years. It is a beautiful part of Florida which is actually one of two National Historic Landmark Districts in the state. The façades of the buildings including the beautiful brickwork and wrought iron balconies really set off an old world feel which is complimented by the narrow brick streets and the dazzling lights of the bars, clubs and restaurants. This place is amazing when it fills up with the people looking to have a great time dancing and socializing with one another. One can see people shopping for fine goods including local art, jewelry, and other interesting items. Streetcars move people from one end of the city to the other allowing an optimal length of ground to be covered. Historical tours are also available for those who love to learn about the city’s rich cultural history dating back to the days of the Caribbean pirates which have made a lasting impression on the city and its surrounding areas. The Florida Aquarium is located right in Tampa Bay right next to the Port of Tampa. The Florida Aquarium is an awesome place to spend some time with the family and includes an amazing amount of exhibits that will teach the young and old plenty about under sea life and the creatures which make their home there. There are plenty of wild fish, sea mammals, and other amazing creatures on display to entertain the minds of the young and old alike. There are four different sections in which the aquarium is divided. The Wetlands are where guests of the aquarium can find otters, turtles, different birds, and alligators. This is where the journey of the water starts on its way to the ocean. Next the water moves through the Bays and the Beaches where guests will find such sea life as sting rays, shrimp, and other forms of sea life. In the Coral Reef, guests find a massive number of tropical and exotic fish, all wearing the most electrifying colors on their bodies. Goliath Groupers, barracuda, and even Black-footed Penguins make their home in these parts. This part of the aquarium is where special interactive programs are held as well including “Swimming with the Fishes” and “Dive with the Sharks”. In Ocean Commotion, some of the most interesting sea life comes into view including HUGE sea turtles, octopus, as well as sharks in the Shark Bay. With all these animals, interesting and informative shows, and interactive programs available, The Florida Aquarium is definitely a great place to be with the family. Dinosaur World is a magical place in Tampa where children can be transported back in time to the days of the dinosaurs. Here guests will find an impressive display of dinosaurs from the Stegosaurus to the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The park has three locations including one in Texas and one in Kentucky. The parks were the idea of Christer Svensson, a Swedish businessman who has been in the entertainment business for many decades. He and his family came to Florida because they love it so much and have spent many vacations in the area. The goal of the park is to provide guests including families and school groups with the most entertaining park in the area. The park is full of life sized models of dinosaurs as they are projected to have once stood. They tower the guests that come in for the sake of learning and being entertained by the pure sight of these amazing creatures. It is almost extremely difficult to believe that these creatures, these giant reptiles once lived and owned the planet. These beasts were like us in some ways. Some ate plants, some ate meat, some ate both, but they lacked a certain ability to create, to continue in their form. They were wiped off the face of the planet by a giant meteor which struck the planet millions of years ago. Today we admire these life sized representations of the real creatures in what would be their natural habitat. We can only speculate for the most part but these creatures are absolutely amazing and so lifelike! Children can be a paleontologist for a day in a fossil dig where they can find traces of amber, ammonite, orthoceras, crinoids, gastropods, shells, sharks teeth, and even more little discoveries.
