Molly Brown House
also known as the House of Lions, the Molly Brown House in Denver, Colorado was the former residence of the American philanthropist, socialite and activist Margaret Brown, who would become known as the "unsinkable Molly Brown" after she survived the terrible disaster aboard the RMS Titanic. The house is now a museum that interprets her life and Victorian Denver along with the outstanding architectural preservations. This beautiful house was constructed in the 1880s by architect William A. Lang, who had incorporated numerous popular styles of the period that included Queen Anne for the original owners, Mary and Isaac Large. In 1893, when the Sherman Silver Purchase Act was repealed, the couple would suffer a financial crash that would force them to sell this gorgeous mansion. James Joseph Brown, J. J., Molly's husband, would purchase the excellent house for $30,000 and the title would be transferred to Molly in 1898, since James was in bad health. Molly and her family would travel much of the time and so they decided to rent the house out, and in 1902, it would become the governor's mansion; while their house was being remodeled. In the Great Depression, Molly would be forced to take in boarders, using her housekeeper as the supervisor, and during that continued depression, Molly would pass on in 1932, and the house would be sold for $6,000.

Denver Art Museum
quite well known for its outstanding American Indian art, the Denver Art Museum contains a very inclusive collection of art that houses over 68,000 works from around the globe and is located in the city's Civic Center.
