Denver Art Museum
quite well known for its outstanding American Indian
art, the Denver Art Museum contains a very inclusive collection of
art that houses over 68,000 works from around the globe and is
located in the city's Civic Center. It houses nine curatorial
departments that include Asian art, painting and sculpture from
Europe and America, architecture, New World that comes from
pre-Columbian and Spanish colonial, modern and contemporary, Western
art, native arts from Oceanic, Africa and American Indian, textiles
and photography. Some of the more famous artists whose works are
included in this magnificent collection include; Man Ray, Robert
Motherwell, Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Philip Guston, Yue Minjun,
Damien Hirst, Dan Flavin, Gottfried Helnwein and John DeAndrea. Also
included is; Frederic Remington, Charles Marion Russell, Charles
Deas, Frank E. Schooner, and many others.
