Las Vegas Natural History Museum
this natural history museum is located in downtown
Las Vegas, Nevada and is across from the Lied Children's Museum with
a majority of their exhibitions concentrating on the ancient sea
beds that had been the landscape that is now Las Vegas. Their
galleries include; wild Nevada Gallery, African Gallery, Marine Life
Gallery, Prehistoric Gallery and the International Wildlife gallery.
The exhibits include; Treasures of Egypt, Las Vegas Founders'
African galleries, Engelstad Family Prehistoric Life gallery, the E.
L. Wiegand Foundation, Wild Nevada gallery, the International
Wildlife gallery, the geology gallery, marine life gallery and the
MGM/Mirage Young Scientist center. The natural history museum is
devoted to educating children, families and adults of the community
about natural sciences, both present and past, with outstanding and
interesting interactive displays, preservation of its collections
and educational programs that strive to instill a knowledge and
understanding of the world's ecosystems, cultures and wildlife.
