Boston has many great things to do! They have museums, shows and concerts, parks, and a lot of shopping and dining. They are also known for their sports! They are the home of the Boston Red Sox. The New England Patriots play in the Gillette stadium which is right outside of Boston. They also have the Boston Celtics if you like basketball and much more! Boston is also known for The Freedom Trail, which is a historic walking tour. It is to introduce people to the Colonial Revolutionary Boston. Boston has plenty of theaters for performing arts, ballet, orchestra, and much more incase you want to catch a show! This city holds on of the best ballet shows in the world called the Boston Ballet. It is classical yet modern!

Boston Museums

The Boston Fire Museum has been up and running since 1983. It is operated by the Boston Sparks Association. The purpose of this museum is to hold and display fire fighting memorabilia, specifically from the Greater Boston area. Also so educate and inform the public on fire safety! They always keep this museum upgraded and improved. The committee for the museum is an all volunteer staff and they are dedicated to this museum.

One of Boston's oldest and largest historic experience is called Historic New England. This museum will give you the experience of the lives of New Englanders! It will show you how they lived and what they did on a daily basis. This museum will teach you about the individuals and families who made New England what it is today. There are many different collections of things in this museum that teaches you about New England in a way most people don't see.

One of the most popular museums Boston has is the Sports Museum. It is known for "where the legends live." Here you can learn all about the different sports teams Boston has and how and when they started.  It has different events you can attend to learn more about each different team. They have many exhibits to visit as well. You can learn all about the world series champions, the ball that changed history, the evolution of women's basketball and much much more!

Boston's Shopping and Dining

There are many places to go for shopping and dining in Boston. The most popular for shopping is Main Street. Main Street has over 2000 businesses ready for you! It has everything from unique gifts to household items. Not only is there shops but there is spas and salons to pamper yourself after a long day of walking up and down the streets! You can find anything you need on Main Street! We cant forget about Downtown Crossing! It is known as the center of life in Boston! Downtown Crossing has shops, dining, and is also a residential neighborhood! Many people call it their home. Most people just call it "the crossing." In "the crossing" you can find events held on different days for people to attend just for fun! "The Crossing" also has plenty of nightlife if you want to have a night out on the town! Boston also has the Faneuil Hall Marketplace which is like an outlet mall and has over 100 of the finest shops and carts. It has everything from entertainment and electronics to bath, health, and beauty. You can find anything and everything you want or need!

Boston's Parks

One of Boston's famous parks is called The Swan Boats of Boston. This park is only open from April to September and it is weather permitting. The Swan Boats will give you the view of the Public Garden. These boats are wheelchair accessible and animals are not permitted unless its a seeing eye dog. The driver of the boat paddles the passengers around for a 15 minute cruise that is very peaceful. Unfortunately the boats can not operate if it is raining, really windy, or even on very hot days.

The Frog Pond can be one of two things, in the summer it is a spray pool for children and in the winter it is a ice skating rink. In the summer it is opened from 11am to 6pm, June through Labor Day. This gives children time to cool off on those really hot Boston days! In the winter for the Ice skating rink it is open from 10am to 9pm for the most part. On Mondays it does close at 5pm. It is also closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. It also has concession stands, rest rooms, and even a warming area!
