Los Angeles Museums

The Museum of Television and Radio was discovered in 1975. This museum is now called TheThe Museum of Radio and Television in Los Angeles Paley Center for Media. They renamed this museum on June 5, 2007 so they could combine broadcasting technologies like the internet, mobile video, and podcasting. It is located right off Beverly Drive near Rodeo Drive.  This isn't like a regular museum, it doesn't hold artifacts and memorabilia but it has screening rooms that have 2 full sized theaters. This museum also has over 120,000 television shows, commercials, and radio programs that you can choose to watch. Viewers can not purchase or take any of the videos off the premises.

The Getty Villa Malibu in Los AngelesThe Getty Villa at Malibu is an educational museum about the study of arts and cultures from ancient Greece and Rome. You would see Greek and Roman antiquities, they have all of the antiques arranged by themes which includes the god and goddesses. There is no admission to this museum or any of the exhibits, however you do have to get an advanced ticket and each ticket allows up to three children by the age of 15 and under.

 

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is also called LACMA. It is an art museum that is locatedThe Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Wilshire Boulevard. This museum is known as the largest encyclopedic museum wet of Chicago. It has over 100,000 objects expanding from ancient times to the present. This museum was founded in the year 1961. The museum is being transformed and they split it into 3 different phases. Phase one started in 2004 and was complete in February of 2008. They predict phase three will be complete by the end of 2010.

 

Los Angeles Parks and Gardens

Griffith Park is the largest park in the United States. It covers over 4,107 acres of natural land and its covered with California Oak trees and all kinds of different plants. Griffith Park is only open from 6am to 10pm daily. It is also the home of the famous Hollywood sign, not many people will put the park and the Hollywood sign together but they are in the same area. Also in the same area of Griffith is the Greek Theatre, Griffith Observatory, and the Los Angeles Zoo. You can also visit the Travel Town Museum and there is a Merry-go-Round in the park for the kids. Not to mention you can even see the Griffith Park Southern Railroad! There is plenty to do while visiting this park!

Rodeo Drive is one of the most popular places to be while your in Los Angeles. There are shops and restaurants to visit. There are a lot of different types of shops including Italian designer boutiques, French fashion, and world class jewelers. This is a very high end place where you will spend a lot of money and have a lot of fun doing it! A lot of celebrities shop on Rodeo Drive, so don't be surprised if you happen to see one walking in or out of a store there. Rodeo Drive is located Between Santa Monica Blvd. and Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills. You will definitely have to check this place out when you travel to Los Angeles.
