New York City is by far one of the most popular cities in the United States. New York City is broken into five different parts which include The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. The Bronx is the home of the Yankee Stadium. Brooklyn is mostly known for being so cultural and diverse. Manhattan is known as the "Financial Center" of New York City. Queens is also very diverse and may even take over Brooklyn. Then we have Staten Island which is the most suburban of the city.  New York City is a very large and unique city with a lot of diversity.  New York City is known for their high-rise buildings they call skyscrapers. It is also known for the Statue Of Liberty, Time Square, and Rockefeller Center.

Statue Of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is also called "Liberty Enlightening the World" and this was introduced to the United States in the year 1886. It is located in New York Harbor on Liberty Island. This memorabilia represents the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This statue is made of pure copper except for the flame of the torch which is made of gold and it is a lady wearing a robe and holding a torch. The statue itself is 151 feet tall, if you add the pedestal and the foundation it is 305 feet. The Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable symbols in the world. The very first Statue of Liberty is located in Paris at the Jardin du Luxembourg. It was built in the year 1870. The second Statue of Liberty was put in front of Maceio's city hall in Brazil.

Time Square

Time Square is one of New York's major intersections and is very busy throughout the day and night! Time Square is where a lot of event happen for T.V.Shows, movies, and all kinds of things. It is very popular for New Years Eve when the ball drops everyone gathers in Time Square to watch and celebrate. Time square was formerly known as Longacre Square but in the year 1904 it was renamed after the Times Building also known as the New York Times.Time Square has many screens so people can watch anything that's going on, whether it is politics or celebrities. You will often see many famous people around Time Square as well. It is a place you will never forget!

Central Park in New York City

Central Park was first public park in the United States. It is located in the Manhattan part of New York. This park is so big it covers 843 acres of land, which is about 6 percent of Manhattan. This park is open from 6am until 1am. There is no vehicle traffic aloud in the park during the weekdays. If cars are driving through the speed limit is only 25 mph. There are many things to do in the park, there is a carousel in the park which is about mid-Park at 64th street. There is a fountain of Alice in Wonderland also in the park and a pond with conservatory water. This park even has a zoo you can visit or a castle to walk through called the Belvedere Castle. You will never be bored at Central Park!
