Brown County Fair:

Since the 1880's, family unity and entertainment have been brought to you by The Brown County Fair. It was a chance to display livestock, vegetable, grains, and machinery as well as host competitions for purebred animal producers. On alternating days, auto and horse racing were featured for the crowd. The fair has been the first choice among residents to take part in arts and crafts, livestock competitions, flower arrangement, and garden crop showings.

Perhaps a relaxing day of fishing is more of your forte-Mina Recreation Area is a water lover's haven with plenty of room for boating. With a boat ramp and accessible fishing dock-kick back and enjoy one of the best crappie, walleye, northern pike, perch, bass and bullhead fishing lakes.

Richmond Lake Recreation Area

This 368 acre recreation area hosts 24 campsites with 15 electric hook-ups. In addition, a playground picnic pavilion is also available. It is open all year-round and provides a handicap-accessible fishing dock, so that everyone is able to enjoy the sport.

Storybook Land

Children's Story book characters and nursery rhymes are beautifully represented at StoryBook Land. Being a free park, it is open for everyone to enjoy the magic of the atmosphere. Because the author was actually from Aberdeen, StoryBook Land features an entire section dedicated to the land of Oz. During summer months, snack stands are open to guests but as long as the park is open guests are welcome to ride the train and carousel. A RV campground is right outside of the entrance with a variety of playground equipment. Storybook Land is located at Wylie Park which has a water park, lake and plenty of picnic and play areas.

Thunder Road

All year, except winter, you'll want to push the limits at Thunder Road. It comes complete with high intensity go-kart racing and a nice calm Adventure mini-golf to contrast. Thunder Road is loaded with fun for the whole family! Get the kids tired and enjoy the quiet for the rest of the day. That's fun for the family, right?

Dacotah Prairie Museum

Dakota Prairie and those within will not go forgotten because of the efforts of this grand museum. With a variety of galleries and exhibits there's a learning experience for the whole family.
