The Calgary Zoo is Located in the heart of Calgary and is a world class facility. They want their focus to be on education and conservation. Visitors can enjoy an up close and personal experience with all different kinds of animals such as wolves, mouse, grizzly bears, giraffes, and many more. The holds more than one thousand endangered species from all over the world. 

Fort Calgary Historic Park
 

Fort Calgary Historic Park has many goals including to create a "sense of place/home" for all Calgarians, to build a deeper understanding of Calgary- Past, Present, and Future, and many more. Their mission is "Where people, a place and history intersect to rebuild the NWMP Fort Calgary as the center of Calgary.

Calgary International Film Festival
 

The Film Festival is always celebrated into the early hours of the morning. This festival is held at the Plaza Theatre. Fans come over miles around to enjoy the low budget film and help celebrities toast their accomplishments as prizes are handed out.

Calaway Park

   Callaway Park is a thrilling amusement park that your kids will love. This park first opened in 1982 and is now celebrating their 27th anniversary in 2008. The park sits on 160 acres of land and has about 33 rides. The rides consist of roller coasters, bumper boats, a log flume, haunted house, and many more.

Canada Olympic Park

This park was first built in 1988 for the Winter Olympics, but now it is a part of the city and their recreational life. It is mostly used for a training facility for athletes and a few residents through the year.  The ski jumps are off limits now but there are ski and snowboarding slopes as well as a few different rides such as the bobsleigh ride or the summer luge ride.

SpacePort
 

  The SpacePort attracts a lot of kids due to the fact that kids love to hear about space. The Space Port will let their imaginations run wild. They mediate a fantasy as they include scientific exhibits on information about flight, technology, and the future of air travel. It also has flight and motion simulators for the kids to enjoy.

Stampede Park
 

The stampede park is famous for all of the rodeos it holds every year. In the rodeos they have thoroughbred and harness racing. They also hold trade shows and conventions throughout the year here as well. The Stampede Park is surrounded by many other things as well incase you don't make it for the stampede, you can still visit the park.        

Calgary Tower
 

  This is a very interesting experience for the whole family. It is known as a tower of 360 degrees of imagination.  On the tour around the Tower you will see multimedia kiosks and high powered binoculars. One of the floors in the tower is made of all glass and is expanded out above downtown Calgary. People say the tour is breathtaking.

Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre

This centre is a museum, gallery, gift shop, gym, auditorium, restaurant, and much more. In the center part of the building its a 70 foot dome that is complete with intricate designs and vibrant colors especially red which is consider good luck for the Chinese. In the museum part of the centre there are displays of porcelain, ceramics, textiles, and much more.

Aero Space Museum
 

  In this museum you will find a collection of aviation memorabilia that represents the general development of flight. It also contains restored planes, aircrafts engines and a ton of documentation. Most of the planes have not been reconditioned yet but the museum just likes the fact that they have been preserved. Also in the museum you will find uniforms, photos, a library, and a gift shop.
