Paramount's Carowinds

This is an amusement park that sits on 105 acres of ides, thrills, shows, and entertainment. No matter what age you are there is a ride for you. There are rides from Nickelodeon Central and Vortex to events and live shows. This park also has a water park and a camp resort for somewhere to stay.  

Discovery Place

 Discovery Place is somewhere for kids to play and learn at the same time. There are science exhibits and presentations. They also have seasonal attractions such as "Action!" which is a moviemaking adventure as well as aquariums and much more.

Laser Quest

 Laser Quest is a place to go with a group of friends to play laser tag. This game of laser tag is an edgy game of "hide and seek." It includes cool lasers, jumping music, fog, and high tech lighting. Its a guarantee you will have a laser tag experience like never before.

UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens

    These botanical gardens consist of three different sites and are run by the University of North Carolina. The three sites are Van Landingham Glen, the Susie Harwood Garden, and the McMillan Greenhouse. There are many different plants in these three sites including rhododendron, flora orchids and many more.

Bank of America Stadium

 This stadium is also known as "the Bank" to all the fans of the Carolina Panthers. The stadium is located in uptown Charlotte and has been good luck to the Panthers. They have never lost a playoff game in this stadium. surrounding the stadium are many neighborhood bars and restaurants for after the game to grab something to eat.

Ovens Auditorium

    This auditorium has been a popular place for all kinds of events such as Broadway shows, speaking tours, and concerts by Bruce Springsteen and Bob Hope. It first opened in the year 1955. It has about 2, 500 seats and had recent renovations done to the lobby and exterior.

Belk Theater

This theater has had many performances including The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra who perform here regularly. It is the largest auditorium in North Carolina. They made the seating to where no seat is more than 135 feet away from the stage so everyone in the audience can feel the intimacy of the performance.        

Charlotte Nature Museum

  This museum isn't like any other museum. It focuses on nature and wild animals. It is ran and operated by the Discovery Place. In the museum you will find magical creatures in the Butterfly Garden, exhibits like Nature Nook, Insect Alley, and Dragonfly Theatre as well as many more. 

Charlotte Museum of History

In this museum there is the Hezekiah Alexander Home site. This museum is known to play a very important role in showing the region's history. You will find exhibits like Stitched from the Soul, Community of Faiths, Watch Charlotte Grow, and much more.

North Carolina Transportation Museum

  This museum is very unique compared to other museums. It will show you what once was the Southern Railway Company's largest steam locomotive repair facility. It also has many antique automobiles, a 37-bay Roundhouse that also has 25 locomotives, some rail cars and many other exhibits.
