Fairytale Town

Fairytale Town is a fantasy land for children and families. There are 20 different three-dimensional play sets. There are also kid friendly slides for children to enjoy a day of pint-sized fun and innovative activity. Also on the property is a two acre farm with rabbits, goats, pigs, sheep, and Eeyore the donkey.   

Funderland

Funderland is an amusement park that has a free admission. Each ride is only one ticket per person so visitors can purchase only what they will ride. This amusement park is very small and old fashioned. Its a perfect family vacation attraction hot spot. Some rides inside are the carousel, tea cups, and gentle roller coasters. 

Raging Waters
 

Raging Waters is a water park for families to visit and cool down. There are any different attractions here including thrill rides to calm lagoons. This water park is known to offer the best in aquatic fun.  The most popular attraction is called Dragon's Den which is a five story tall water slide that takes visitors through the darkness and mist. Hook's Lagoon is for the younger kids.

Sacramento Zoo

The Sacramento Zoo has more than 140 different native, rare, and endangered species. The zoo has shows on the Wildlife Stage or here are educational programs for children. Not only is the Sacramento Zoo a family vacation attraction, it is also ideal for birthdays, corporate events, or even a wedding.

Wells Fargo History Museum

This museum follows the growth of the company as it effects the region. The museum displays Concord Coaches, authentic documents, early photographs, gold chests, a copy machine from the 19th century and many other artifacts from Pony Express days.   

William Land Park
 

This park is located on the corner of 11th Avenue and Freeport Boulevard. It is known as the gem attraction of downtown. All surrounding the park is the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale Town, Funderland, a 9-hole golf course, gardens and trails. This park is good for a short stroll or even a picnic.

California Military Museum
 

This military museum has more than 30,000 artifacts on display. The museum is focused on showcasing the history of Californian's service to country. The museum has exhibits that date back to the Civil War. Also on display are uniforms, weaponry and written accounts of the military history.            

California State Capitol and Museum
 

 This attraction is located on a 40 acres flowered park. Both the California State Capitol and the museum make a great visit for exploring regional and local history. There are guided tours available that are at no cost and gives a great way to visit the museum.  

American River Parkway

This attraction is known as one of the best attractions along the American River. Along the river visitors will find a lot of beautiful open space and great trails. It sits on about 15 acres of land. On this 15 acres of land visitors can enjoy golfing, wind surfing, and many other nature related activities.      

Discovery Museum of Sacramento
 

 This attraction was featured to help kids explore and understand earth and space science. The museum is split into two different sections, one for the earth science and the other for space science. It also has many exhibits such as a space mission simulator, planetarium and a discovery room.
