Woodland Park Zoo

The Woodland Park Zoo sits on about 65 acres of land and holds more than 1000 animals from about 290 different species. This zoo attracts more than a million visitors every year. There are many exhibits that are replicas to natural habitats. Some of the most popular exhibits are Bug World, elephant forest, African savanna, and many more. 

Seattle Asian Art Museum

This museum holds the collection of pan-Asian art. Their main focus is on works from India, Japan, and Korea. The museum has paintings, sculptures, and textiles that give a cultural perspective on diverse tradition and shows the importance of Asia's many religions.

Chittenden Locks & Carl English Botanical Gardens
 

This garden was first built in 1911 and give a lesson in technology on days gone by. Visitors can tour ships and sailing vessels when they enter the locks. There are guided tours for the locks offered at certain times of the year. There is also the botanical garden which offer about 2,000 different plant life.

Space Needle

The Space Needle is the city's landmark and is seen from miles. It is known as a Jetson-esque attraction and gives breathtaking views from the observation deck. On the ride to the top are employees to entertain the visitors and challenge them to a small trivia about the city.

Seattle Aquarium

The Seattle Aquarium is a shelter for marine life, their main highlight are creatures found in the Pacific Northwest. One of the aquarium's most popular attractions is the underwater dome. The underwater dome is where guests can watch the fish and sea mammals swim all around them. There is also a kid friendly tank which allows kids to handle some of the sea creatures.

Mount Rainier National Park
 

  This National Park is located in Ashford and is known to have a multitude of summer and winter activities. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails that wind through the forest and past lakes and beautiful streams. In winter, the park has snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. There is also a historic inn and a history museum.

Museum of Glass
 

The Museum of Glass is located in Tacoma and is a very unique structure. It shows cutting edge and contemporary works of glass and other related objects. The core of the building is a 90 foot steel cone. Visitors are offered lively exhibits and a trip to the Hot Shop Amphitheater, which shows the process of glassmaking.           

Seattle Art Museum
 

  The Seattle Art Museum is located in the downtown area.  There is a 48 foot Hammering Man sculpture that stand outside to mark where the museum is. As visitors enter the museum there are nine sculpted white cars that hang in the air at different angles. The galleries in the museum display Native American, African, and European art.

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park

This wildlife park is located in Eatonville and sits on about 715 acres of land. There is also a 50 minute tram ride through the 715 acre park. There is over 200 different types of wildlife including snowy owls, river otters, bald eagles, lynxes, gray wolves, cougars, bears, and many more. 

Experience Music Project
 

 This museum is all about the history of rock and roll. There are more than 80,000 American music mementos that are shown in this ultra-modern museum. Visitors will see Janis Joplin's floral bell bottoms and  leather jacket once worn by Elvis Presley.
